Welcome back to Boomer’s Blogs! To all of our teams and families in New England and the greater Northeast region, we hope you’ve been taking advantage of the fantastic weather that we’ve seen recently. We’re finally getting back around to more agreeable climates as the Spring season gets underway, and we know that we’ve all been enjoying it, both on and off the field! For the purposes of this week’s blog, we’ll be “shifting our sights” down south a bit, as we look to “gear up” for the 4th Annual War at Williamsburg! Despite only having been introduced a few years back, the War at Williamsburg has become one of our more exciting events located in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region. The tournament features four age divisions, with player ages ranging from 13U up to 17U, with 16U/17U combined as the oldest division. This event is a four-game guarantee…

Firecracker Sports is coming to you with another update out of our Northeast Premier Baseball League! We hope you’ve all been enjoying the beautiful days we’ve recently seen throughout New England, whether it be on or off the field. We know that we’re all glad to (hopefully) be done with any early poor weather, as we continue to push into the Spring season. With over 70 NPBL games played this past week across all of our age divisions, it certainly was a busy few days of baseball! Welcome to an especially exciting entry from Firecracker Sports, our first edition of League News from the NPBL! We’re feeling extra fired up now that Baseball is officially BACK, as the NPBL finally kicked off this past week throughout each of our divisions, all across New England and the Northeast. Throughout this week’s blog, we’ll be discussing notable games and sharing league results, as well as taking the time to highlight some of the top performers in those games. We’re sure you’re all just as excited to be back on the field or in the stands, and all of us at Firecracker Sports are thrilled with the performances we’ve seen and the engagement we’ve had with different programs throughout the NPBL in just the first week of play. It’s time for another edition of Boomer’s Blogs! We’re glad you’re joining us for a new entry in our series of blogs, especially since this post will stand out from all the rest; this week we’re talking about Firecracker Sports Softball Tournaments & Showcase Events! In just the last couple of years, we have had an increase in contact and demand from Softball programs and organizations for more opportunities, both showcases, as well as tournament events. We are beyond thrilled to have teams and coaches looking to return to our events, as well as looking for and working towards more Softball events in the future!

Since the start of this year, we’ve put out quite a few posts as part of our weekly “Boomer’s Blog” series, as well as our Scout Day event notes from “Boomer’s Scout Book”. Many of the former posts have discussed different events presented and locations featured by Firecracker Sports. While all of the tournaments and scouting days that we offer are premier events, they do all still lead up and contribute to one major occasion; our annual culminating event of the season, Fire 55!

Since its inception, Fire 55 has truly become our marquee event for the year…

Joey initially came to Firecracker Sports as a Data & Analytics intern for the summer of 2021, but quickly displayed both an aptitude for statistics, as well as a true passion for the game of baseball.
