Offensively, demonstrated steady hands and a smooth, direct swing path. While his swing can occasionally get long, he shows the ability to drive the ball gap-to-gap with consistent line-drive contact. His natural athleticism and feel for the game suggest continued growth as a hitter and defender with added strength and refinement. Ethan’s future appears especially bright on the mound, where his upside as a pitcher stands out. He has a clean, efficient arm action and already generates life and carry on his fastball. His slider has sharp, late bite, making it an effective out pitch, and he mixes in a serviceable changeup that continues to develop. His frame suggests he will add velocity as he matures physically, and his pitchability is already advanced for a player in the 2026 class. Overall, Ethan Ford is a high-upside two-way player who currently profiles best as a pitcher at the next level.
