What makes our league unique?
How do we define our “sub-divisions” of each age group?
Premier Division – The top teams will compete in this division of the Northeast Premier Baseball League. This is the highest level of play in any age group. This level is best suited for teams considered as superior or elite in an age group. Elite town programs, competitive regionally, and/or club organizations pulling from multiple towns. Reference to other leagues: NEAAU – Diamond Division; New Balance – Elite Division; GHVBL – Division 1
Champions Division – is the second highest level of play in the Northeast Premier Baseball League. Teams segmented in the “Champions Division” are the top team in a town program. “Champion Division” teams are competitive when they participate in regional tournaments and/or regional games. Club organizations that pull from multiple towns, but are not “Elite” may participate in the this sub-division or earn their way up to this level. Reference to other leagues: NEAAU – Super Division; New Balance – State(s) League – Division 1; GHVBL – Division 2
Victory Division – is the third highest level of play in the Northeast Premier Baseball League. Teams segmented in the “Victory Division” are the second team in a town age group, it is expected that the vast majority (70% or more) of team members come from (1) town. Club organizations that field two teams in an age group may be considered for placement in this division. Reference to other leagues: NEAAU – Open Division 2 or 3; New Balance – State League – Division 2; GHVBL – Division 3
Open Division (Only applies to 9U) – is the only open division for league play in the Northeast Premier Baseball League. Teams segmented in the “Open Division” are from every level of baseball. 9U baseball is for player development and this division will remain “open” for all teams to participate annually. When they transition to 10U the following year, their divisions will be applied based on results from the previous year and be placed in the appropriate “sub-division” starting at that age level.
