2021 Team Testing Day:
Mizuno Northeast
Sunday March 29, 2021
Tim Lombardi | Firecracker Sports Director of Player Development
Location: Hitquarters
Graduation Years: 2024 – 2025
Coach: Nate Sorensen – nate.hitquarters@gmail.com
Firecracker Sports wants to thank Nate Sorensen and Mizuno Northeast for allowing us to come and test a young talented group of athletes. The day started at 7 pm with hitting in a dome-like structure. We used 1 Rapsodo Hitting machine that recorded exit Velocities up to 90 mph on the day. Mizuno Northeast then moved on to pitching which took place on two mounds recorded by two separate Rapsodo pitching units.
Any coaches looking for video on each player can find them there or contact our Director of Player Development, Tim Lombardi at tlombardi@firecrackersports.com.

Top Pitching Leaders on the Day:
Noah Basgaard – 2024 – P | 1B | 3B | OF
The lengthy right hander produced a peak velocity at 78 mph with his smooth mechanics and quick arm action. Following his fastball is a 71 mph changeup and 64 mph slider.
Tristan Davidson – 2024 – p | 1B
The well built right hander has powerful mechanics helping him peak at 77 mph and average a close 76 mph. Davidson managed to create consistent mechanics with a large push off while staying in the zone.
Jake Dapolite – 2023 – SS
Dapolite has consistently smooth mechanics while still peaking at 76 mph. He maintained an average velocity of 74 mph followed by his 62 mph curveball and 64 mph changeup.
Colby coghlin’s whippy arm action helped him peak at 75 mph while averaging 74 mph. His 12/6 curveball movement at 64 mph complements his over the top mechanics. Colby also has a changeup clocked at 67 mph.
Noah Jordi – 2024 – P | OF
The lefty has a large repertoire of pitches with his fastball reaching 75 mph followed by a curveball at 64 mph, change up at 67 mph and a slider at 65 mph.
Top Hitting Leaders on the Day:
Logan Powers – 2024 – C | 1B
Logan Powers led that day at a peak exit velocity of 90 mph while averaging 69 mph. Long swing with small leg involvement could help Powers see some jumps in his velo and 132 avg distance.
Andrew Schmit – 2025 – C | OF
Schmit has a compact, powerful swing that helped him peak at 89 mph while producing an average exit velocity of 83 mph. Small leg movements while powerful can help him catch up to most pitches this upcoming season.
Colby Coghlin produces a very power-heavy swing with a leg kick and good movement in the box. These characteristics helped Colby produce peak velocity swings of 89 mph while averaging 75 mph at an average distance of 135 ft.
Jake Dapolite – 2023 – SS
Dapolite’s top-heavy swing helped produce a peak exit velocity of 88 mph which can easily be helped with more leg involvement and sitting back. The lengthy right-hander also averaged 79 mph on the day.
Noah Jordi – 2024 – P | OF
Lefty, Noah Jordi, produced a nice swing at 87 mph while averaging 82 mph. Small improvements made by sitting in his hip more while making some gains in the gym could help Jordi’s numbers skyrocket.
Noah Basgaard 2024 – P | 1B | 3B | OF
Noah Basgaard produces a simple swing with much pop resulting in 87 mph peak exit velocity while averaging 81 mph. His repeatable swing will result in higher numbers as he matures. Other averages include his 155 ft distance and launch angle of 10.8 degrees.
Tristan Davidson – 2024 – P | 1B
Davidson has a power heavy swing that allows him to stay behind the ball and produce consistent power. His peak exit velocity was 86 mph while averaging 80 mph, Davidson also averaged 169 ft on the day.
Desmond Hayeck – 2025 – P | 1B | SS | 3B | OF
Desmond peaked at 86 mph exit velocity while producing an average of 78 mph. These numbers were complemented by a consistent swing that average 135 ft while launching at 12.3 degrees.
Brayden Richards – 2025 – P | 1B | SS
Richards peaked an exit velocity of 86 mph while averaging 75 mph. Look for Brayden to hit the ball deep this summer as he averaged a distance of 181 ft at 17.4 degrees.
