Chapter #5 – Exposure

It’s almost that time of year again.. warmer weather is starting to creep in and stay for a few days at a time, daffodils are popping and the baseball season is just starting up! 

Firecracker Sports wants to help you during your spring season. This spring, with the help from you, we hope to promote players that have participated in any of our showcases or tournaments. If you need more exposure in the recruiting process, or just a couple new eyes on your 85 MPH fastball, we want to help.

All players and coaches will have the ability to submit a “recruiting style” video either to a google form that will be shared across all social media platforms, or send a video to our Direct Messages (DM’s) on instagram @firecrackerbaseball. We hope to help highlight the success of your players in the spring. 

For more updates with Firecracker Sports, college showcase camps are open and being filled up by the second. We hope to see each and every one of you attending a few different showcases this summer. College showcase camps allow for players to be seen. It is the best way to form direct connections and opportunities with future coaches and teammates. We will always have media covering these showcase camps, giving you the opportunity to not only make connections at the camp, but after the camp online as well.

Firecracker Sports – Around the Horn

Summer showcase baseball and showcase softball is right around the corner which means most of our tournaments are FULL!  Our first ever Memorial Day FanFest will take place at the Hank Soars Complex in Pawtucket, RI on Friday night! We will have food trucks, music, public address announcers and of course…baseball!!

3 field…tons of action…starting off with our Elevated Exposure Event powered by USA Baseball/NTIS

This event is open to all prospective players from the ages of 10 to 12 years of age, and who wish to try out and be considered for USA Baseball’s National Team, Team USA! During this event, each player is personally evaluated by a recruiter and scout from the USA Baseball Task Force. If selected an invitation for a Regional Tryout will be sent directly from the USA Baseball/NTIS Office. All players will receive an event t-shirt and a pro-style workout, which includes personal profiles and advanced data and metrics through Trackman. At the conclusion of the event, all data and metrics from the event are made available to each players in their personal online profile through Firecracker Sports.

Now…on field #2, we will be hosting our 1st ever 12U Home Run Derby!

Two players from each of the 12U teams are eligible to participate in our inaugural Memorial Day Home Run Derby! Players will be selected to represent their team by their coach. Each player will have one minute to accumulate as many points as possible based off a scoring system including data and metrics provided by Trackman.

Once a hitter’s one minute round expires, each player will have one final “bonus ball” for which double points will be awarded. The top top four players from round one will match up in the final round, where we will crown our first ever Home Run Derby Champion!

**COACHES: you will be receiving a separate email with further instructions on selecting and registering a player from your team. Please be sure to register a player from your team NO LATER THAN May 8th**

Last but not least on Field #3: Two 11U Pool Play Games

Two opening games for local teams will be played on field #3. These teams will be revealed on April 14th along with the full schedule release. Stay tuned!

There are still limited spots available in select locations like Fairfax or Williamsburg, Virginia and also Hershey, Pennsylvania. 

Firecracker Sports will be hosting 4 different tournaments in Virginia this summer and fall. We are excited to announce 2 new events down in Fairfax, Virginia include the Mid Atlantic Labor Day Classic and the end of year, Mid Atlantic Fall Championships! 

College Showcase Camps are also open and ready to be filled with anyone hopping to gain more reach and exposure. These camps will take place at all tournaments this summer, but you do not need to be participating in the tournament to attend the college showcase camps.
